This episode of "This Is My Hustle" features Joey Golja, Co-Founder and President of Project Barkada.

Joey Golja is a Filipino/Croatian from Queens, New York. He is an entrepreneur, small business owner and former special events coordinator at MTV. As the Co-Founder of Project Barkada, a NYC-based nonprofit organization focused on bringing communities together, Joey believes that we are stronger together by supporting and empowering each other to succeed.

Joey is also Co-Owner of a few small businesses such as Tito Boy’s Burgers a Filipino-inspired burger pop-up, Tubig which is a sustainable water company supporting fresh water projects to help bring clean water to communities abroad. Boutique Vinyl a shop specializing in car vinyl installations, customization, tint, commercial storefront and window displays etc. SnapHD NYC a photo booth business for special engagements or corporate events. Joey was also co-owner of Tito Papas, a Filipino restaurant and bar located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Through Project Barkada, Joey gets to live his dream of helping others. “Nothing in my life has made me feel this rich. Being able to see kids smile, have fun, get new shoes or school supplies, feeding people who are hungry and supporting our elders. The look on their faces is what keeps me going.”
