SUPER Last Minute Valentine’s Day Gifts Your Love Will Be (Decently) Impressed With
SO YOU DRAGGED YOUR FEET. And now you’re empty-handed on Valentine’s Day. No judgment here! Fortunately, there are a number of ways to get a gift in hand or at your doorstep in time. Here are some of our quick ideas that won’t make you look like you totally forgot.
1. Their favorite food or alcohol is a no-brainer! Thank God for Postsmates, DoorDash or Grubhub! Order their favorite meal or dessert and have it to your house in less than an hour. For alcohol, check out Drizly, where you can browse what’s available from local wine, beer and liquor sellers, pair it with the perfect mixers and whatever else you need, and have it on your doorstep in time for a romantic evening in.
2. A massage or facial or even mani-pedi for some pampering at their favorite spa. Most spas have electronic gift cards you can print out on the spot so you won’t be empty-handed when you see your favorite person after work!
3. If your love is a fitness buff- A package of series of classes or lessons to their favorite workout. Whether it yoga, pilates, cross-fit or jiu jitsu they’re into (or looking to start). It’s not too late to call your local fitness studio and call in for a gift car, print out or even just start a new account for them with the classes already credited. Better yet, get one for yourself too, and make it a bonding activity. Win-win!
4. Is your lover an art lover? 5. Netlflix and Chill, your guy’s THING? Then get them the next streaming subscription on their list. Yeah yeah we know- sounds a little desperate but when you think about it- its the gift that gives all year right? It takes approximately five minutes to sign up for some kind of subscription service online, and as long as you pick one that will really mean something to your SO, it can still be a very thoughtful gift. 6. Lastly, if all else fails, a quick run to the market for some flowers and a card will always do the trick- on one condition: make sure you take some time to write out a heartfelt note. Maybe a short poem, haiku, or your top favorite things about why you love them. Whatever it is, nothing beats true words coming from the heart (and while you’re at it you could grab some groceries for a special dinner if you have time!)
